Kiln Dried Oak hardwood is sustainably sourced from managed woodlands and has a low moisture content of less than 20% oak firewood burns hotter and longer than any of the other hardwood species. With this in mind, it is perfect for those who intensively use their stove or burn through logs quickly.
Very dense kiln-dried hardwoods, like oak, may require a little more effort to get them going but once they start to burn, that’s it. Our high-quality logs are typically 25-30cm in length.
When lighting your fire using Oak logs, make sure to use smaller pieces to start off your fire and have your stove burning before adding in bigger pieces. Oak will take longer to light and burn but once it’s going, it will need little tending to.

The firewood is delivered to our customers in these convenient wooden crates or bags so as to keep them tidy and easy to store in your garden and our Moffett Mounty forklift, available in County Cork only, is ideal for getting your crates of firewood into any hard to reach areas when delivering. The wood burns better the drier it is, so be sure to have somewhere that the firewood won’t get damp! Delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on your address.
